We hope you enjoy hearing the latest from Community Clean.

The start of the year has been slow, brought about by the budget cuts and the uncertainties they bring. We have continued to work with our existing customers, and many new ones, to help deliver best value. Recently things seem to be picking up speed again and March has set new high records for quotes accepted and enquiries received! Outsourcing is a buzz word at the moment and in many cases we can help your budgets go further.

We believe that 2011 is going to be all about innovative working, delivering best value and smarter/collaborative working; Community Clean is ideally placed to help you. Please get in touch and we’ll be happy to chat about what we can do together.

Bracknell Subways Mural Project

The challenge: To refurbish two subways to a high standard, including the design and application of a themed mural. The theme selected by the client was Bio Diversity and the artist impression we provided proved very popular.

What did we do: The process included deep cleaning to remove all contamination in preparation for the application of the murals and all Anti-Graffiti Coatings. Once all the initial work was completed our mural team and professional artist started work on the Bio Diversity design which incorporated local flowers, birds and insects.
The Contract Manager had regular meetings on site with our mural team and client, to ensure everything ran smoothly. Our operatives are all CSCS and ICATS (Industrial Coatings Applicator) accredited and NRSWA trained for pedestrian and traffic management.
Once the mural had been completed we applied a clear Anti-Graffiti Coating with a life expectancy of 20 years. All other surfaces (including all the wing walls, soffits and entrance portals) were treated with a 3 coat Highways Authority approved Anti-Graffiti System with a 15 year life expectancy.

The outcome:  This was a really exciting project with maximum visual impact - the results speak for themselves. The subways have been transformed, making them more appealing for the public whilst promoting the Bio Diversity theme. Bracknell Forest Borough Council have been awarded the coveted GOLD award for the Small City category of ‘Britain in Bloom’ so the chosen theme was very important.

Redesigning Local Svs Conference

Community Clean were pleased to exhibit at The Barbican Centre last week. The conference 'Redesigning Local Services' offered an excellent chance to consider the best way forward for public service delivery, and how to address the gap between what people want and what local services can currently deliver with the help of contractors like us.
